1NEWS – Imparsial Deputy Director Ardi Manto Adiputra highlighted the figure of KSAD General Andika Perkasa proposed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to replace TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto.
According to him, Jokowi made a mistake in giving the mandate of the TNI Commander to KSAD General Andika Perkasa because he did not rotate leadership.
“The rotation pattern is important to reduce the jealousy that is very likely to occur among soldiers,” said Ardi to 1NEWS, Friday (11/5/2021).
Not only that, Ardi added, the rotation pattern is also an effort so that there is no impression that the President of the Republic of Indonesia has promoted one dimension within the TNI, as in the New Order era.
“The pattern of rotation of the position of the TNI Commander, which has been started since the beginning of the Reformation, certainly needs to be maintained, moreover it has also been mandated in the TNI Law,” he said.
