REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Judges who handle corruption cases are expected to have the courage to follow up on the discourse of giving punishments for high-profile corruptors.
This was conveyed by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin in an online discussion entitled the application of the death penalty, Thursday (25/11). According to him, the law allows the judge to impose the sentence.
"The legal breakthrough in the form of imposing the death penalty in the prosecution process, I hope, can also be followed up with a judge's breakthrough in deciding a corruption case," said Burhanuddin when giving his speech.
