Imparsial researcher Hussein Ahmad gave his opinion regarding National Press Day (HPN).
As is known, National Press Day was decided based on Presidential Decree Number 5 of 1985.
The date of February 9 was taken to coincide with the Anniversary of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI).
"People really need the role of the press as a reporter for the truth and a mouthpiece for the oppressed," said Husein to GenPI.co, Wednesday (9/2).
