Jakarta, CNN Indonesia— Member of the Board of Representatives Commission I Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, said that his party will not discuss the alleged human rights violations of General Andika Perkasa in the fit and proper test of the Military Commander candidate which will take place on Saturday (6/11).
For him, the judicial process for the murder of Papuan leader Theys Hiyo Eluay, which links Andika's name, has been completed.

"I don't think it will be discussed in Commission I of the Board Representative (DPR). Why, because the judicial process has been completed and some have been convicted, there are four officers, three soldiers and there is no judicial process in any court," Bobby told reporters at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta on Thursday (4/11) .

"So it's over. I don't think my friends in Commission I will discuss this," he continued.

Bobby estimates that Andika's fit and proper test will run smoothly. According to him, members of Commission I of the DPR have been enthusiastic about holding Andika's fit and proper test.

"But I hope that the D-day will go smoothly, but I think that I saw the enthusiasm of all the factions, who were present from Zoom, who were excited to attend, I think it went smoothly," he said.

Separately, The National Human Rights Committee (Komnas HAM) Commissioner Beka Ulung Hapsara said his party had not received any information or complaints regarding Andika's alleged involvement in the case.

"I don't have any information or data for me," said Beka when contacted by CNNIndonesia.com

Komnas HAM has no plans to carry out an investigation yet. Even so, an investigation will be carried out if there are complaints or information that comes to Komnas HAM.

"We'll see," he said.

Previously, the Civil Society Coalition for Security Sector Reform assessed that President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) move to propose Andika as a candidate for Military Commander contained a number of problems.

The Civil Society Coalition for Security Sector Reform said Jokowi must really ensure that his proposed candidate for the Commander does not have a bad record, especially regarding human rights violations.

The Civil Society Coalition for Security Sector Reform considers that news relating to Andika's name in the murder of Theys Hiyo Eluay should be taken seriously.
