VIVA – Imparsial Director Al Araf criticized Law No. 16 of 2017 concerning Community Organizations also known as Mass Organizations. In this law, the government has the authority to dissolve them. In fact, according to Al Araf, the dissolvance without going through a court process is a violation of human rights.
"In my opinion, the dissolution of the government in a democratic rule of law is a form of principal violation of the constitution and human rights," said Al Araf in the book launching of "Mass Organizations Dissolvance" and Public Discussion on the Problems of Disbanding Mass Organizations in Indonesia.
