Hearing Hearing Expert Statement of Petitioner for Judicial Review of PSDN Law (KOMCAD Law)

Dear. Network friends, students, workers, farmers, media and the wider community.

Our Advocacy Team for Security Sector Reform consists of Imparsial, KontraS, Public Virtue Institute, National PBHI, Gustika Jusuf Hatta (Defense Sector Researcher), Leon Alvinda Putra (Student / Head of Bem UI), Ikhsan Yosarie (Defense Sector Researcher), and several other organizations are applying for a judicial review of Law no. 23 of 2019 concerning Management of National Resources for National Defense (UU PSDN) against the 1945 Constitution.

As for the subject of our application, it relates to the arrangements for the maintenance of the Proposed Reserve Component (Komcad) which are regulated in the PSDN Law.

After listening to the Expert Statement from the Petitioner at the previous trial, the agenda for today's session is to hear the testimony of the 2nd expert from us (the applicant), namely:

1. Mohammad Najib Azca, M.A., Ph.D. (Lecturer of the Sociology Department and Head of UGM's Center for Security and Peace Studies)
2. Dr. Eva Achjani Zulfa, S.H., M.H. (Lecturer of Criminal Law Faculty of Law UI)
3. Dr. Heribertus Jaka Triyana, S.H., LL.M, M.A. (Lecturer of Law and Human Rights, Faculty of UGM)
