The deployment of reserve components to deal with threats, both military and hybrid, is not carried out directly. But it must go through the approval of the House of Representatives (DPR) after the President officially announces the mobilization of reserve components.
This was conveyed by Professor of the Faculty of Law, Padjadjaran University, Gde Pantja Astawa, as an expert from the government in the judicial review session of Law no. 23 of 2019 concerning Management of National Resources for National Defense (UU PSDN) at the Constitutional Court (MK), Jakarta, Tuesday (18/1/2022).
