GenPI.co – Imparsial Director Gufron Mabruri gave his response regarding the possibility of terrorist acts leading up to Christmas and New Year (Nataru).
As is known, recently the National Police's Anti-terror Detachment 88 has arrested one suspected terrorist in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan.
"Terrorism is recognized as a threat that must be prevented. The arrest of the suspected terrorist certainly strengthens the existence of the threat," he told GenPI.co, Thursday (23/11).
According to him, strengthening early detection and prevention is something that must be improved.
"This effort is certainly not enough just to be carried out by Detachment 88, but also by the police at all levels, starting from the Regional Police, Polres and Polsek," said Gufron.
