Merdeka.com – Imparsial assessed that the Military Commander's telegram Number ST/1221/2021 regarding the Procedure for Summoning TNI Soldiers by Law Enforcement Officials issued by TNI Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto was problematic. Imparsial researcher Hussein Ahmad believes that the regulation shows military dominance over the state.
"We see this increasingly shows the military's dominance over the country. They pushed their way into the civilian realm and via telegram the commander in chief was not only managing the TNI internally but also externally," said Hussein while talking to Liputan6.com, Wednesday (24/11).
Hussein added that the regulation interfered with the legal process in agencies outside the TNI. In fact, law enforcement officers only ask for information from TNI soldiers who are involved in legal cases.
"This is not true because it further demonstrates the military's dominance over the country," Hussein criticized.
