Imparsial: PKI Members' Descendants Ability to Enroll in the Military Has Become A Moment of Reconciliation

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia — Imparsial Deputy Director Ardi Manto Adiputra hopes that the decision by the TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa to allow descendants of former members of the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) to register for the TNI will become a momentum for national reconciliation.

"This must be used as a momentum for national political reconciliation so that the PKI issue doesn't just become an endless seasonal political issue," said Ardi to CNNIndonesia.com, Thursday (31/3).
