Imparsial: The Definition of Threats in the PSDN Law for the Establishment of Komcad Unclear

RepublikaMerdeka-There are still many records that must be completed behind the existence of Law 23/2019 on the Management of National Resources (PSDN) which was made to strengthen the national defense system.

Imparsial's Vice Director Ardi Manto said the PSDN discussion process was considered problematic from the start. One of them, he said, was that the discussion was carried out in a non-transparent manner and was discussed in a short time in the DPR.

As a result, said Ardi Manto, in substance the PSDN Law will have various problems that have been criticized by the public.

“Among them are reserve components that can be deployed for non-military and hybrid threats, while the definition of the two threats is not clear. This has the potential to create horizontal conflicts in society," said Ardi in a FGD and Media Briefing at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Airlangga (Unair) in collaboration with Imparsial and the Centra Initiative to review the PSDN Law, Friday (22/4).
